Matthew Trujillo

Matt serves as the Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives for Catalyst California where he develops and manages organization-wide campaigns and initiatives. In his role, he works with Catalyst California staff across the organization and community stakeholders to develop and implement policy frameworks, advocacy campaigns, and cross-programmatic initiatives. Before joining Catalyst California, Matt was a program officer in the Research-Evaluation-Learning unit at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation where he developed and managed research and program grants to advance health equity across the U.S. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona; Matt attended Arizona State University where he received a bachelor’s degree. He received a Ph.D. in Psychology and Social Policy from the Psychology Department and the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and a Certificate in Core Public Health Concepts from the University of North Carolina.
